My baby is 1!

I cannot believe a year has gone by this fast.  I remember being pregnant and every day I was pregnant seemed like a eternity and I never thought it would end. And then once he got here every day has gone by way too fast.

We took Holden to the park to take a few pictures of him.  My kid is so funny,  at home he is full of life and so silly and laughs like crazy,  but once we get outside he becomes this observing quiet little boy.  He is a dream kid to take to restaurants and shopping because he doesn't throw fits he just watches everyone and everything.

At the park I had to put on a show to get him to smile but we got some good shots.

At 1 yr old Holden is 31inches tall (74%) and 19.13lbs (9%).   He loves his milk and so I am trying to cut back and switch over to regular milk now.  We are trying to cut back the milk so he will eat more.  He is not picky but he will only take like 2-3 bites of anything and then be done.  It's so frustrating.  He is getting better so my goal is to fatten him up a little. :)

Holden is not walking by himself yet,  but he walks along everything and gets into everything.  He crawls SO fast and so I think one day he will just let go and go running.

Holden is sleeping through the night. He goes to bed at 8-8:30pm and wakes up about 7am.

He loves his mama and his mama loves him so much.  He is my light and with all the depressing stuff that goes on in our family with my mom and dad he is the reason I smile throughout the day and brings laughter to my heart.  He definitely was brought to our family at this time for a reason.

The rise and fall of the playhouse

Ryan and I were able to get one of the nice wood playhouses from my moms caretaker.  Her kids were getting older and not using it and wanted to put up a pool so they said if we came and took it down it was ours!  Score because they are over $900 at Costco.

We brought it home and sanded and restrained it and put back together the peices we wanted to keep.  We put it up and then got fake grass put in around it. Ryan convinced me to put in a putting green in the grass with two holes and We also bought a baby swing.  We have spent many nights outside with Holden swinging and Ryan putting.

Last week Vegas experienced crazy winds like 30-40mph.  We hadn't bolted the playhouse down yet and the next thing we knew on Friday night as we were sitting down watching a movie out playhouse got pushed down by the wind.  Major damage has been done.  My brothers came over the next day and helped us put it upright and bolt it down but Ryan has to rebuild the swing set part and fix the roof and reinforce it.  Luckily he is out of school for the summer and can get it done quickly.  Holden misses the swing a lot he goes to the back door and cries to go out

We are all looking forward to it being fixes and us being able to spend many more family nights outside.
