Random..

It has been forever since I have blogged.
I haven't even posted about our trip to San Diego for Christmas.
I need to post about our babymoon to Hawaii, which was AWESOME,
and progress on Holden's room, it's coming together!

But today I am just going to put a few random thoughts.

I will NOT miss this big fat belly when Holden gets here, but I will miss Ryan rubbing, kissing and talking to his baby at night through my belly.   My love for that man grows everyday.

I love feeling Holden kick me every day, even if my poor bladder suffers.  Let's me know he is okay.

He is still breach and I still have placenta previa, so we find out next week if we have to have a c-section or not. If the placenta doesn't move I don't have a choice.  And my Dr. would want to do it at 36-37 weeks so then I would only have 10 weeks left.  Yikes!

I have lived in our house for 6 years and Ryan has lived there for 3,  and until the front guest room became Holden's room we apparently didn't need window locks.  But the minute it became babies room Ryan went out and got window locks. Because as he says "People are crazy and no one is going to try to take my baby"

It's hard to fathom that the next Mother's Day that rolls around I actually WILL be a Mother.   I told Ryan he better make it a good present :)

I feel like a fool talking to my dogs about their baby brother coming,  carrying around the carseat or turning on the swing and letting them investigate everything, but the book says this is how you get your fur babies ready for their world to be rocked!

Pregnancy makes me snore, Ryan can't sleep through snoring.  I have tried a humidifier, breathe right strips, Vick's tent you name it.  Doctor just says some women snore during pregnancy.   Hopefully it goes away after because Ryan is sleeping in the guest room half the time and I miss him!

Finally at 18weeks I stopped being sick,  I want to document this so hopefully with my next pregnancy I can say it didn't last as long.  It was NOT fun and I was NOT enjoying pregnancy at all.   From 18 weeks to today (almost 27 weeks) I have loved it.

The only thing good about being sick during pregnancy is you don't gain a ton of weight.  Hoping to be at 20lbs for the whole pregnancy,  at +7 right now.

Not going to lie, the hospital tour at Summerlin Hospital scared me a little.   Watching them take off the bottom half of the labor bed and reveal the bucket underneath that catches all the mess.  My eyes were wide open after that.  Or learning about the lovely diaper's we get to wear afterwards because you are still bleeding.  So fun!

I never drank milk, except in cereal or to dip oreo's in.  I drink probably 2-3 glasses a day and go through a gallon a week by myself.   It's crazy.

Other cravings,   cutie oranges (eat 4 a day),  Captn Crunch cereal for breakfast everymorning,  cheeseburgers, banana's, popcorn, strawberries, apple juice and apples.

Things I am not liking,  sweets (which makes me so sad, I normally love sweets), sandwiches,  fish.

I am a shopaholic,  I can't stop buying him clothes and room decor.  I have a problem. He already has 10 pairs of shoes.

I need to stop though because looking at our budget after baby is born with day care, diapers and insurance going up.  We are going to be broke :)

We have the crib, glider, changing table (bought at garage sale and grandpa refinishing), video monitor (gift), carseat (gift), bedding, swing and breastpump.

When Holden is born Ryan will be 1 month away from finishing his first year of grad school.  We made it a year and only 2 left!!!

My mom and dad are going to watch Holden on Friday's while I work from 9-1 and my mom has already told me that she is not following my baby wise schedule,  she is rocking her grandson to sleep.  She is looking for a glider for her house as we speak :)

My Aunt is making Holden's blessing outfit and my Mother in Law is making a blanket to go with his blessing outfit.  I love that people I love are contributing to his special day,  they will go in his keepsake box for sure!

My boss is already negotiating with me on maternity leave,  asking if I can come in 1 day a week and add it on to the back end of my time off,  so I'll be out longer but work 1 day.  He is freaking out that the place will fall apart.

I feel like the next 13 weeks are going to go by the slowest in my life,  but the last week I know I am going to be so scared and wish I had more time!!

Our 2012 Christmas

I just typed a whole blog on my phone and lost it :(. So I'm going to try again but it probably will be much shorter.

Our Christmas was great, Ryan and I were both off and able to stay home and get some things ready for the nursery. We moved our guest bed to the office so we can still have guests. It's coming along nicely and I am in love with the nursery..

Holden was spoiled and isn't even born yet, he got blankets and books from grandma and grandpa stewart and a carseat and blankets from my parents he got a baby video monitor from my brother and clothes from Ryans sister Roxanne.

Ryan and I were spoiled also we got each other clothes and I got a purse and he got shoes. My brothers bought us a surround sound and a new iPad so we can FaceTime with my mom when the baby comes.

I am getting bigger by the day. I definitely look pregnant now I go to the doctor again next week and will be 23 weeks we are getting closer! I can't wait for him to get here, I wouldn't trade this for anything because at the end I will have my baby boy, but man pregnancy is not fun!

I'll post about my parents Christmas gift to us in my next blog, our trip to San Diego.

It's Christmas Season!!

I LOVE CHRISTMAS!

I love everything about it,  I love shopping for the gifts, wrapping them and especially watching people open them.

It is Tuesday, December 11th and I have officially bought every gift for everyone.  I am most excited about the gift I bought my dad and a matching gift I bought for Ryan and Holden.  I hope they love them!

This week I am working on neighbor/friend gifts and putting together the gifts for my Beehives. And this weekend after hounding Ryan for two weeks he is finally taking me to look at the lights downtown on Friday night.  We are meeting our friends Scott and Cassie (who just moved here to go to grad school with Ryan) down to the Bellagio and the Ethel M. Chocolate Factory.  I am excited!

Here are a few of my favorite Christmas items in my house:

My Christmas Tree - I am very particular about the Christmas tree.  My children will have their very own tree to put all their special decorations on,  just so they don't mess mine up.   I was pretty sick the week I put it up so it only has about half the ornaments I normally do but I still love it
My favorite nativities
My Snoopy Countdown

I am counting down the days until I am off of work for the holidays,  I have 10 days from today and then Christmas officially starts for me.   We have Christmas Eve with Ryan's parents,  Christmas night with my parents and we leave Thursday for San Diego for 4 days with my family.   Should be a great holiday season.

In other news, my lovely husband decided to do no shave November.  He took it very literally he didn't shave his neck or even cut his hair.  This picture is what I call Gross Ryan.   I was not and am not a fan.  The kisses were few and far between at our house until November 30th when he shaved it off.  Then it was celebration night :)))

I have now been on my blood thinner shots for a little over 2 weeks,  they aren't horrible but they aren't fun.  The actual needle is small and doesn't hurt but the medicine stings the minute it goes in and for about 10 minutes after.  Ryan laughs at me as I walk around the house right after rubbing my belly saying "It Stings!!"   I have about 26 weeks left to go!

We also went to the doctor last week for our big ultrasound where they look at all your babies organs.   Our baby has a strong heart at 147 beats with 4 chamber's and good blood flow,  a good looking brain and all the rest of his organs.   His arms are measuring 2 weeks bigger so the doctor says he is going to take after his dad with long arms.  His head and belly are measuring a week bigger.  Since they have to switch me to a different blood thinner before I deliver in order to get a epidural I will most likely be induced,  doctor thinks around 38 weeks before baby gets to big.  That works for me that means we are a little over half way there!!

This weekend we are moving the bed from our guest room into our office and rearranging the office to be able to start work on the nursery in the next couple of weeks.   I am a planner and I need it all done and everything ready with at least two months to spare just in case I needed to go on bed rest or something.  I am definitely in nesting mode around our house.

I hope everyone is excited about the Christmas Season and are able to spend it with your loved ones.  This is the time where I am constantly happy,  I love how nice people are to each other and I love doing random acts of kindness for strangers.  Makes me remember what this season is truly about.
