Pumpkin Patch and Halloween
I cannot believe it has been so long since I have posted. I have a lot of catching up to do.
Let's start with Halloween.
I don't know why but I had it in my mind I wanted Holden to be a skeleton. I really didn't even look at many other costumes. Thankfully Amazon to the rescue again and I found Holden's costume, my shirt and Ryan's shirt for $44 with shipping. I LOVE Amazon!
Our Ward Trunk or Treat was Saturday, October 26th and we had so much fun. Holden was so good and just hung out on the blanket watching all the kids dance around him. He can sit up all by himself now and is completely content to just sit on a blanket with a few toys surrounding him and play for a while. We decorated the car but because we are moving and I am really not in the holiday spirit I didn't do much and only think I took a picture on my phone.
Halloween was on a Wednesday this year and we joined our friends the Barney's and the Bruland's to walk around their neighborhood with the kids. Holden's skeleton costume was a little hard to get on and off and I knew we were going to be out around bedtime so I quickly went in his closing, found a sweater I had just bought him, drew some glasses on him and out the door we went. He was supposed to be a nerd but people thought he was Harry Potter.
I love as each holiday comes experiencing it as a mom. It makes it so different for me. I know as he gets older each year will be a "new" first and I look forward to each one.

Random's
A bunch of random's I need to put down for journaling purposes.
Holden will eat 8oz at the babysitter's 1 or 2 times a day but at home the most I can get him to eat is 6oz at a time. Lisa says this happened with another one of her babies that at home he wanted to play.
Holden has now tried Peas, Sweet Potatoes, Squash and a taste of avocado. He hasn't hated any of them and is getting much better at eating. He ate a whole jar at Grandma Stewarts the other night.
Holden is now sleeping from 7:30pm to 6am, with a dream feed around 10:30pm. He wakes up at 3-4am and I used to feed him but now I just put his pacifier back in and he goes right back to sleep. I have tried pushing bedtime back but at 7:30pm he gets SO cranky. We call it his bewitching hour.
Holden is getting closer to being able to sit up on his own, he can roll from tummy to back but won't do it all the time. Not because he can't he is just stubborn and get's mad.
We are moving, we haven't really told anyone. Not because its a secret it just hasn't come up. We should be in our new house by Thanksgiving. We are excited Holden will have his first Christmas in his new house but we are going to miss our old house and definitely the pool. We will be renting out our old house until the market comes up more and we can sell it.
We are moving for more space, our new house is bigger with 4 bedrooms and a loft/playroom for Holden. It also has a 3 car garage for Ryan. We are not in the same ward :( (WAHHH) but we are in the same stake.
I am now addicted to looking up little things I can do to make our furniture and new house seem different since we are keeping all our stuff, not changing the color palate in the living area, and don't have the money to add anything new so I am researching painting, wallpaper, new pillows.
I buy way to many things on Amazon. I get a package every week almost.
Ryan is in the middle of his first rotation. He is enjoying it a lot but is at a outpatient clinic and working lots of hours. He is not home until 7-8pm every night. He is really enjoying working with the stroke patients and is thinking he might be interested more in a rehabbing facility than outpatient. You don't make as much starting off but I would rather him work in the hospital anyway doing what he enjoys.
I am back in the swing of things at work. It was hard at first, you are gone for 3 months and they find other people to do your jobs and then when you get back you feel like you are not needed and you are still hormonal. It was a rough first few weeks.
I am not doing good on losing all my baby weight. I am still a fat blubbery mess. I am extremely jealous of women who don't look like they had a baby 3 weeks later but that is not me. I am finding it very hard to work out, work a full time job, be a full time wife and mother, cook dinner and clean the house. I am joining weight watchers again, we eat pretty good at home and I am not gaining weight but I need to get out and do cardio and loose more weight. We take our family pictures in 1 month and I would like to be down 5-10lbs by then.
