Almost April..

How can it be almost April already??  These months are all melding together for me :)

We returned from Salt Lake last night,  we had a great weekend visiting family and attending the wedding of my cousin Kristal.  That was my first time in the Salt Lake Temple and from what I saw it is as beautiful as everyone says,  now we just need to get back there and do a session.

My dad is looking good,  I'm sure he doesn't think so and I know he feels like crap but he is almost at the bottom and from there its only up!  It was nice to be able to have family go and visit him and see how he is doing.  Him and my mom are keeping really positive I know they are going stir crazy and are ready to get back to Vegas.  We are hoping by end of April he will be ready to come home and relax here before getting back into work.  I think when you are home and in your own bed it does wonder's for a person.

The dogs are happy for have us home too!  They have been without me every weekend for over a month and both of us for the last three weekends.  Matt watched them when we were in New York and Melanie watched them this weekend and I know they were in good hands, but I am happy to back home with them I miss my babies when I am gone :)

This is a pic Melanie took of Zoey this weekend while they watched NCAA basketball.  Mel took them to McD's twice for some dog biscuits and a few fries so they definitely were spoiled and loved :)

As the weather heats up Maggie's ACL is doing great, we are down to 2 anti inflammatory pills a day and no limping.  I am going to take her back to the vet this week and see if we can get down to 1 or maybe even none unless she needs them,  she might be getting older but she still has the spirit of a puppy.  She is my first baby and I love that girl with all my heart.

This is her playing outside the morning we left for Salt Lake,  I was trying to trick her as Ryan loaded the car because she is EXTREMELY smart once the suitcases are any where in site and she does not want to be left behind.

This weekend we have Conference but we will also be working on the house,  my goal this month is to get the baseboards in the living room and down the hall repainted and any touchup's that need to be done.  I also have a whole plan for a picture wall in the hall  that I want done this month.  We need to get the pool ready for summer so the two tablets of chlorine a week isn't going to work anymore,  we need to get the water tested and add the chemicals back in.  We also need to add more rock to the front yard and back yard and replace any plants that died in the winter.. AND I'm re-organizing the kitchen drawers and cabinets, they are too full and driving me crazy,  I don't use half my plates, cups pots or pans anymore and if I am not using them someone else can so we will be making a donation to the DI or anyone of our friends who need new pots and pans.    Whew its going to be a long list of hunny do's month for Ryan!  I'm tired just typing it LOL

Ryan has a full schedule for school this semester so he will not be going anywhere until end of May when we have a 3 day weekend and are cashing in a wedding present we got from my Aunt and Uncle for a timeshare in San Diego.   I should be home most of April,  I plan to go back up to SLC on the 14th of April when my dad should be out of the hospital and resting at their apartment to spend time with my parents.  Then next next time I see them is when I should be busting them out of SLC and bringing them home to VEGAS!!  I am so looking forward to that day I want my parents back where I can check on them weekly only a 10 minute drive away!

I'll post some wedding pic's later....Until then..

We'Re BaCK!

We are back in good ole Las Vegas!   We had a great vacation spending 4 days in New York City with our friends Walt and Lexie,  we had so much fun with them and can't wait to travel with them again.  This next time somewhere tropical ;)  Then we were able to spend 3 days in Philadelphia, where Ryan served his mission it was so fund for him to be able to show me some of the sites he was able to visit.

Ryan was able to relive all his glory days of being 21 again and drinking cookies and cream milk, eating ice cream, philly cheesesteak sandwiches and sweet cream pretzels everyday.  Reality is we are not 21 anymore and so good thing we walked miles and miles everyday but we will also be going on a DIET now that we are back home :)  We definitely ate our way through both cities,  and while we had lots of great food I learned the lunch trucks are where its at  I didn't even get any pictures of my philly sandwiches or my chicken gyros because I ate them too fast.

Here is a few of my favorite pictures we snapped on our vacation, I will post more on facebook later.

Our last night in Philly out to a good dinner at FORK

We really had a great vacation and were glad to be able to spend a whole week together dedicated to one another :) a HUGE thanks to Matt for staying at our house,  we had a little mishap okay a big one our water heater busted and Matt had to get it fixed for us since we were thousands of miles away.  Cost him $450 and thank goodness he had the money so now we just need clean the mess up and pay him back :)

Glad to be back home for a week and then off to Salt Lake to Kristal's wedding and to see my parents.

The LDS hospital gave my dad the go ahead and he is checking in Monday morning at 9am to begin his Melaphan and he is scheduled to receive his good stem cells back on Thursday.  He will not be able to go to the wedding or reception,  he will be in the hospital  just concentrating on his recovery.  We are hoping he will be up for some visitors but not to many we need him to stay healthy and get out of the hospital as soon as possible.

I know everyone has been praying for him but if you can double your efforts this week this is the big day we have been waiting for,  pray for success and for remission :)

Two More Days!

UNTIL VACATION!!!!!

Yeah I am so excited and so ready,  Ryan has had mid terms this week so has been studying overtime and I have been busy with work and trying to get us ready to go that I think we have only spent maybe 30 minutes to a hour together each night and I have been asleep every night except last night when he has made it to bed.  It will be nice to have 7 days of just him and I time :)

We just found out our good friend Adam got engaged and will be getting married in June in Sacramento so we now have a mini vacation planned for June to head up for the wedding.  I don't think I have ever been so it will be nice to make a weekend out of it and see the sites. :)

Man we have been travelling fools this winter and spring so far!  :)

I'll blog when I get back from New York and for those following my dad's blog he blogged yesterday and I'm sure will blog this next week.  Keep up the prayers people they are working!!

It's March Already??

It feels like these last two months have flown by, it could be because I am so busy and have only been home a few weekends :)  My poor primary class will go 5 weeks in a row without me (one due to stake conference in my defense).  I warned them when they called me that my dad was right in the middle of treatments out of state and there would be quite a few weekends in the next couple of months I would miss and they still called me anyways...

I just returned for a trip to see my Dad and Mom in Salt Lake, I had a good time with them and it makes me feel better to go up there and take care of them for a few days so I feel like everything is okay.  I know sometimes I bug them because I just take over but I feel like there brains can use a rest for a few days so let me do the thinking.  :)  Sunday we got the call that my dad's numbers were on the rise and they wanted to start collection.  I felt like that's what it would feel like if you were running to the hospital to have a baby,  one minute my dad was sleeping and my mom and I were folding clothes and the next minute we were throwing on clothes and out the door quick.  I don't think my dad actually woke up until we actually got to the hospital.  :) We learned he collected 1.37 million yesterday which is good considering his white count was so low.  We are waiting to hear what his numbers are today but he has been experiencing alot of bone pain which they say is a good sign that everything is stirring around in there so we are hoping for big numbers today! UPDATE JUST GOT THE CALL and he collected 6.9 million today so we have 14.4 million total!!

This Saturday Ryan and I are headed on VACATION!!!  We are excited with work, and school and everything else we have going on we feel sometimes we are stuck in a routine and so a week off of both of just being tourists sounds heavenly right now.  We are stoked to be meeting some friends in New York and are ready for some fun! I'll be blogging pics when we get back :)

Then end of this month we will be going back up to SLC for my cousin Kristal's wedding,  I am excited to go to the Salt Lake Temple for the first time, she is going to make a beautiful bride. We will be staying with my mom (my dad will be in the hospital getting his new cells and new life back!!)

Soon it will be April, and the only time I am leaving town is to break my dad out of the hospital and bring him home!!   Other than that Ryan and I are working on the yard and the house to get ready for summer.

Thanks everyone for supporting us and sticking by us for these last crazy months :)

Love to all!
