In no particular order because my phone sometimes chooses how it wants to post. Here is the latest adventures of the Stewarts
Our friends Walt and Lexie came into town to stay with us this weekend. Walt is a old mission companions of Ryan's and they have stayed great friends. We love them and have so much fun with them. We wish they lived closer so we didn't just get to hang out ever 3-4 months.
This weekend we decided to chill and mainly just relax and see movies.
Lexie and I went and got pedicures and had some girl time! Friday night we went to the new Reese Witherspoon movie, it was really cute. The boys said if we were dragging them to a chick flick (which they liked btw) then we were seeing a movie they wanted to. So the next night we went to Act of Valor the Navy Seal movie. It was amazing, I bawled VERY hard at certain points. I am so thankful for the men and women who risk their lives everyday for me.
We checked out a new burger place down at City Center in the Cosmopolitan and I had the most delicious turkey burger I have ever tasted. The decor at the Cosmopolitan was beautiful they had these beaded chandeliers everywhere. We already bought a group for $40 worth of food there for $20 and plan to go back.
Walt and Lexie brought their dog Jinx and we started babysitting my friend Chelsea's dog Dyson on Sunday so at one point this weekend we had 4 dogs in the house. It was crazy, but surprisingly they all got along. We have Dyson until this Saturday and so far so good. He is such a cute cuddle bug he has been sleeping with us and I woke up last night to his head on the pillow next to mine. Lol. Zoey is in heaven but my poor Maggie girl will disappear and I'll go looking for her and she is dead asleep curled up someplace. She can't hang with the youngun's forever.

Plans...
There are alot of things I don't love about myself and know I need to work on. But one of the things I do love is that I am planner. I have a spreadsheet or a plan for everything, our monthly bills, Ryan's schooling, tax return money, weekly meal and chore planning, vacation budgets you name it ..
I used to think that every time something good happens, like we find out how much we are getting on our tax return or we decide to go out of town on a vacation I would immediately go into plan mode. Normally not only do I have a plan, but I have a back up plan just in case my plan doesn't work out. That's the way I function and I don't do very well when there isn't a plan...
But, obviously there are things in our lives that are not going according to my plans right now. I was thinking the other day after receiving some not so great news again that even when things aren't working out I still am in plan mode. I give myself one day to wallow, cry, grieve, whatever and then Amanda is back in plan mode, making calls, making lists and figuring out the next step we need to take. It literally keeps me a sane functioning happy person, and keeps me from not giving up.
I was talking with Ryan the other day about working out, I have been very bad at it lately and you can definitely see the results of that. I think part of his coping is to work out and that's how he releases grief or stress, I on the other hand go in the opposite direction I sleep because that's the only time my mind isn't talking to itself and going crazy. I know its bad, I know it's not healthy and is not going to help me accomplish what we are trying to accomplish. I know I need to get out of this funk and need to get back to working out, so I made a plan (of course) lol. The next two months my goal is to get back into a routine of going to a spin class or step class or something where there is a set time I have to be there at least 2-3 times a week.
I am going to work on getting back to feeling better about me and I am putting away my lists and plans for all things baby related for the next two months. So don't ask me about how the baby making is going, because for the next two months it's not in the plans :)
The next two months are about me and me alone...

BRACE FACE NO MORE!!
As of 10am this morning I officially have NO Braces!! This is maybe the best thing that has happened to me so far in 2012.
This was me telling my girls how excited I was this morning....They reciprocated if you can't tell :)
I have been waiting 42 months to walk into my orthodontist office and see this sign...
I seriously feel like a million bucks!
The girls at Dr. Thalgott's office are so awesome! They gave me a little going away present (I mean I have been there 3.5 years so they pretty much know everything about me)! I am going to miss everyone at the office but I will not miss having braces. I will not miss rubberbands, in fact I am going to burn them all tonight. I will not miss having to wear wax because my wires are poking my cheek or tongue. AND I will not miss the pain of getting new wires and new chains.
So to celebrate I bought myself something today from one of my favorite online furniture shops. I have been stalking her for a while but haven't been able to buy anything because she either sold it already or it doesn't go with my house. I ran across this cutie today and emailed her right away.
I bought the white one on the left! Now I just need to make a place for it.
The real celebrating will be this weekend, our friends Walt and Lexie are coming in to town to visit and there is a carmel covered apple out there somewhere with my name on it!
To end here is a favorite picture of Ryan and I from our weekend at Lake Las Vegas. We had so much fun and will definitely be going back.

LOvE
I try to show Ryan everyday I love him. But it doesn't hurt to have a little holiday that lets you go the extra step!
Ryan had school until 7:00pm tonight so we decided to make it a night in. I looked up a Giada De Larintus recipe for some amazing pork chops stuffed with apples and bacon that were so good!
My hunny came home with flowers in hand and we had a candlelit dinner at the table ( we never eat at our table unless guests are here)! I convinced Ryan to give me my Valentines day gift tonight instead of waiting until Friday night on our surprise date :). And since I told Ryan I can let the cat out of the bag! I rented a room at Lake Lake Las Vegas with a couple massage on Saturday. He was so surprised!
It's been such a great night. LOvE is a beautiful thing..

February Catch Up
This last weekend was busy as usual but so fun! On Friday night my hunny took me to see that new Channing Tatum movie The Vow, we made the mistake of forgetting that it was the weekend before Valentines and the theater would be packed so we had to watch the movie from the 2nd to the front row. I HATE sitting up front, I am too old and get such a headache. So I bet the movie was cuter than I remember because I was pretty much miserable the whole time.
Saturday morning we were up early since we were getting our new bed frame delivered. We needed more storage in our room so bad so I love our new bed frame because it has 6 BIG baskets underneath that provide that much needed storage but it doesn't take up more room in our already crowded too small of a room. Once I get the headboard and get all the pillows situated on the bed it will look so cute!
Then I headed down to the Cupcakery to pick up these magnificent things:
This was for the same baby shower I made the cake diaper for. We had the shower at On the Border and about 20 girls showed up Including my favorite guest, one of my best friends little girl Ruby. She is my bud!. It was a fun time and Stacey got alot of cute gifts for little Brianna.
When I got home Ryan was still out after going to the UNLV game and watching them beat San Diego State! He came home with no voice, which was perfect because we were going to the movies that night with my family so I had other people to talk to :)
Saturday we also got the sign that we were ready for our 2nd round of IUI (Intro Uterine Insemination), after a little back and forth with the Fertility Center because they don't normally do those on Sunday we figured it all out and had to be to the clinic at 6:30am. We finished up their and took the sample over to my doctor's office for implanting. Not to be to personal (well this is my blog so I can be if I want to) where they make you carry the sample cracks me up. You have to put in your bra to keep it warm on the drive over from the Fertility Center to the OBGYN office, which in my case is only 10 minutes, LOL
Here is a picture of my hopefully soon to be baby :) TMI I know but this is my journal I will print out...
The procedure isn't all that bad, a little cramping and then you basically just have to rest that day. So we came home and Ryan went to church and I laid on the couch with my feet up for the rest of the day. My girls know when I need them and both of them were pretty close to me all day.
We won't find out anything until the earliest 10 days, but pray for us :) I am feeling good about this month!
And I want a little boy I think to look exactly like Ryan. I took this picture off his mom's fridge the other night. He is just so cute!
Yesterday I had a orthodontist appointment for my last check up before I get my braces off. I have exactly one week from today and I couldn't be happier. I have to wear 3 rubberbands 24/7 the next week though and they hurt and I can't talk. No joke one of my co workers came in to ask me a question and I was talking so fast spit came out of my mouth. SO professional.
Here is hopefully the last picture of me as a brace face :)
Today is Valentine's Day. Ryan doesn't get home until 7:30 tonight from school so my plan is to make dinner and have it ready for him when he comes home. Then I rented a redbox movie for us to watch, I'm so romantic I got a shoot em up kill em movie! Our big Valentine's plans are for this weekend! I don't get my gift until then either and IT'S KILLING ME!!
Hope everyone has a great Valentine's Day and tells those in your heart you LOVE them!

Fun and Football
Here are a few of the Valentines treats I have made so far.. I can share these because I have already handed them out ;)
These are cherry chocolate kisses that can be found HERE on Pinterest..gave them to friends, visiting teaching and the women I serve with in church.
I also made these:
Which I found on Pinterest too! Shipped to my best friends who live out of state and gave to my brothers.
I'll post the stuff I made for Ry after Valentines Day :)
This past Sunday Ryan and I hosted a party at our house for the Superbowl. I really sucked at taking pictures but we had a good turnout probably 15 people showed up. We had Papa Murphy's pizza which I hadn't had since probably highschool the last time my parents ordered it and ALOT of other food. I had a few football themed items of course.
Yeah that's pretty much the extent of my picture taking for the day, and they aren't even good pictures. I really need to take a photo class lol...Everything turned out great, the game was awesome and everyone had a great time!
This weekend I am co-hosting a baby shower, we are getting our bed frame delivered and Ryan is going to a UNLV basketball game with his dad. Should make for a fun busy weekend!

New month....New attitude!
Thanks to a good cry with my mom, time spent at a girlfriend's house talking much needed girl talk, eating the brownies she made for me, and coming home and laying in bed with Ryan reading our patriartical blessings together, I am feeling MUCH better today.
I am jazzed for everything we have going on this month, including:
Going to St. George this weekend to drop off a bed. Excited to see Taz and Adam for dinner and to go do a session on Saturday morning in the St. George Temple. That temple is very special to me. My family was sealed in that temple when I was 5-6 and even being that young I remember bits and pieces of the day. I remember being in a room with a woman who felt like a grandma playing with me and my baby brother, I remember being taken to the sealing room and kneeling with my parents and I remember looking around the room and seeing my Aunts and Uncles. I am so excited to go back with Ryan and I hope those feelings engulf me again as I walk through those doors.
AND.....
After a LONG 40 months I am FINALLY getting my braces off on Feb 20th!!! I never thought this day would come. I always joke with my ortho that the entire time I have been dating and married to Ryan I have had braces and he always jokes back and says maybe I will get them off by the time my kids graduate :) I am so glad I got them, I feel so much better about my smile and don't regret them for a minute, but its been over 3 years and I am ready to be done with them! I'm going to have carmel covered apple from Rocky Mountain Chocolate Factory as soon as I can :)
Just more reason's I have to be grateful for my life. I might get knocked down sometimes but I always get back up..
